We replaced our old washing machine a few months ago. Floor is getting soaked, got a repair guy out to look at it.
It's not the machine that leaks. Sink fills from washer, water goes down the drain, but a good proportion ends up on the floor. Have to move a 60 yr old gas stove - and maybe deconstruct some sink cabinetry - to get to the stack to see if it's cracked and leaking.
Same stack drains from the kitchen on the floor above, but that doesn't leak. So we need a plumber, I guess. Not looking for anything fancy, merely restoring function in a poorly-built old basement second kitchen setup
We had one of the big firms come out to replace three under-sink cutoff valves; it's still tender when I sit down.
Anyone know someone who can get this done? I'd sooner give that kind of money to people here, if that's what it takes.
