Cuz back to Western Pa for family reunion.

    Easy Peasy.
Just left Somerset Cty Courthouse and got my PA out of state CCW permit in 30 minutes,. It was very low key at this courthouse. The deputy at the security checkpoint told me CCW office was right around the corner. Very convenient. Ten steps away. No appointment. Just walked in.

Lady told me many PA counties are not processing the out of state permits anymore. Somerset gets many folks from MD who apply. I guess if more out of staters apply they will continue to issue permits. Thank u Maryland.

Handed her my Florida carry and Florida driver license, picture taken and as stated 30 minutes heading out the door with my out of state permit.

FL permit is very professional compared to PA. You would think PA would have used BOLD letters to best see the upper left hand corner. You need a magnifying glass to see PA's title.

I did my Adams county application online and walked in and picked up my permit the day of my appointment (a convenient day for me about a week after I submitted the application). I had to wait for the clear lamination to cool off. That was the longest part of the whole thing.

In southeastern Pennsylvania, I believe Delaware county is the only one giving us a hard time

Adams County suspended issuance to out of state residents a couple months ago but then started again. I just renewed my MD permit and sent them a copy as requested.

I think they just got overwhelmed with MD residents applying for permits

They must have speeded things up since I got mine in Somerset. Had to drop off the application in person (no option for online) then come back 2 days later to be photographed and issued. Wasn't a problem since we were staying at our house on top of the mountain.

Personally, I'd gladly take unprofessional looking considering the speed and ease involved in comparison to other states. I don't need flashy, just legal.

I submitted it online, was approved in a week, went to the courthouse for a picture, and got my license.

Adams county wasn't same day, but after they approved my application (just a few business days), I scheduled an appt to pickup.

When I parked, my meter already had 11 minutes on it. I got back in my car with a couple minutes to spare. They wasted no time haha.

Was that way in York at one time, 2015?6??. When I got one there. It’s long expired

I’d guess things are much changed since then, if anyone has current experience, I am curious. For NR

Nice to see they’re still fast in some places

30 minutes? That took forever. When I went to York County and saw Rackzilla, I was in and out in 10 minutes
