Outdoor Gun Ranges Near Towson?

Are there any outdoor places to shoot both pistols and high-powered rifles? I would consider joining a club if it is close, but would prefer non-membered.

I'm in Timonium. I'm a member of York Izaak Walton. About 34 minutes for me. You are not going to get outside shooting without being a member. I tried

York IWLA does not have work requirements after joining (you will need to do 8hrs before.) Great facility and good people

Check out York Riflemen. They have a 200 yd range. I think there’s an IWLA near Mt Airy that may have a 300 yd range. Most IWLAs around here seem only to have 100 yd ranges so Mr Airy is unique. AGC has a 200 yd.

What I’m driving at is that get used to driving further, as ‘closer’ to Towson. I go all the way to Delmarva Sporting Clays or Quantico looking for 500 yds or more.

I’m sympathetic as I am from Towson originally and know Timonium, etc.

Elk Neck is a public shooting range in Northeast. $10/day or $50/year. Rifle range up to 100 yards, pistol range, archery range and

AGC in Marriottsville is very nice. $225/ year(I think) plus additional membership is required.

MSI satisfies the additional membership requirement for AGC. That makes it kind of a moot point now...because who isn't an MSI member these days?

I also live in Towson, I belong to the AGC. If you would like to try it sometime just PM me. I go often but enjoy company when I do.

Agc for me. Msi membership will get you the membership quals. 80+ spots on the 100, 200 yd range, trap, archery and the pistol range. Everything I need but free time to go there costs extra…..

coming from VA, I miss the state funded, free use, ranges that are down off of 81 and in central VA. You could spend all day out there, the state offers free land and you bring everything else +clean your area. Ah the good times
