Opinions needed for book cover!

Hi Guys,

I'm wrapping up my book on Vietnam bring back weapons and have been trying to come up with a cool cover. I would greatly appreciate everyone's opinions on what I have so far. They still need some tweaking. A bring back Luger from an advisor is also in the book so I was thinking of placing it on a Vietnam red beret as another option. Thanks!

So I was thinking about the title more and I was wondering if something like this may sound more enticing.

War Trophies​

Weapons of the Viet Cong
and the stories of American Soldiers
who Brought them home​

I realize it's longer, but like some of the examples I posted last night, but I think it's important to give some hint that the content includes the soldiers stories.

Not bad but not all the weapons were from the Viet Cong.

War Trophies:

Weapons captured in Vietnam
and the stories of American Soldiers
who brought them home

or maybe

War Trophies:

Vietnam recovered weapons
and the stories of American Soldiers
who brought them home

War Trophies:

Souvenir weapons from Vietnam
and the stories of American Soldiers

HOW MANY War Trophies are in the book?

I would add the number to the title.

Like some others, I like the pic with the rifles, but would add some pistols to it to broaden the attraction.

Playing around with the title. I like mentioning the stories but unfortunately I don't have one for each weapon maybe half of them. I also tried a red border and didn't like it.

My worthless 2 bits- I like both examples. Maybe if the graphics were golden with black outline and maybe just a tad bit bolder?

The cover is one thing but have you consider using the services of a professional book editor? I used one for my series of QuickBooks books and the lady did a great job, really got took the writing up a notch. She not only edited the writing but helped me get it listed on Amazon. There a lot of hurdles to jump if you want to do that and she knew how it all worked. PM me and I can tell you all about it.

Shouldn't bring back have a hyphen?

IDK but that's what editors are for.
I'll also add, not to be a prick, the ADA; editor should be able to get that into compliance EZ for all to see makes for EZ sales

I've received articles with print on phot's that's I can't read withour a magnifying glass

You can do better than that with an editor

Have you tried fanning them around the star, muzzles pointing inward between the star points? Maybe too hokey?

Cutting the guns down to three aligned horizontally across in the center (with one retained in the star) would have a cleaner look IMO. Highlights both the weapons and the history present in the flag. Even for a rear cover, covering the writing on the flag seems to make it look a bit busy/cluttered IMO. Could also keep two below, with the one on the right side of the flag flipped to face left and both moved up just enough to be bore axis just above the writing. Just a thought.
