Can we legally carry into ocean city Maryland? I’ve heard that they have separate laws making it illegal to carry
Does that still apply with a carry permit? The only thing OC has is knife laws, no assisted opening knives and that includes a thumb stud.
Not as I understood one the state has premeption of local laws in that area and two the wear an carry permit covers typically banned weapons including, assisted knives, brass knuckles and nunchuks.Does that still apply with a carry permit?
Yes it does, but thats with guns not knives. Not as I understood one the state has premeption of local laws in that area and two the wear an carry permit covers typically banned weapons including, assisted knives, brass knuckles and nunchuks.

Worcester county has a grandfathered prohibition on carry "in night clubs" (OC is in Worcester).
Ummmmm yessssss...Does that still apply with a carry permit?
Good idea. Let me know how that works out. What a joke. I might pick up one of those butterfly knives or switchblades that’s a comb just to be a smart ass.
Basically Seacrets? Probably anywhere that has a metal detector is a no go. Fagers, that lame ass dance club Cowboy Coast on 17th etc. I'd think you'd be ok at some of the lower key places like Fish Tales and Sunset grille, and most restaurants. I'd only really feel the need to carry if I was going to the boardwalk but I avoid that area after dark. And there is literally no way or source to find out what exactly constitutes a "night club" in Worcester County. I may try to contact the states attorney. But there is nothing I've found online about this and no quidance from the county government.
Town of Ocean City bans spring assisted knives. I'm not sure if having a CCW overrides this however?
I could be a broader definition. Any place that has live music for example, which would include a LOT of restaurants down there. It could also be related to what percent of their business is dedicated to the bar instead of restaurant. I'm going to reach out to the states attorney and see if I can get something specific from them.Basically Seacrets? Probably anywhere that has a metal detector is a no go. For general use I'd say just avoid the places with metal detectors which I'm guess most guys on here aren't trying to go to anyway and you should be good. I'd rather violate a town ordinance than be caught with my pants down in a life or death situation.I could be a broader definition.
