Sociopath, plain and simple. She honestly believes this is the "right thing" despite openly admitting that criminals will not comply. So then what is the point?

I can’t believe nobody has read to the end of the article where it also says,
“The governor's order on Friday also directs state regulators to conduct monthly inspections of firearms dealers statewide to ensure compliance with gun laws.

I am glad that at least one sheriff has already pointed out how his officers won't act on this 'order'. Similar to when fat Larry ordered us all to 'stay at home' and MSP basically said that it's not their job to enforce this.

The state Department of Health will conduct a report on gunshot victims at New Mexico hospitals that includes age, race, gender and ethnicity, as well as the brand and caliber of firearm involved and other general circumstances”

Yep, laying the groundwork to ban specific firearms that are particularly killy like the deadly 9mm that 'rips your lung right out' and the evil 'Assaulting Rifle #15'.

    Bloomberg's Demanding Moms don't disappoint -
Miranda Viscoli, co-president of New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence, praised the governor’s order as necessary in order to reduce gun violence.

"If it saves one life, then it’s worth doing," Viscoli said.

The government is still authorized to have slaves, which is why they can pay prisoners 3 cents an hour.
My son and I were arguing about this today. I just can’t get excited about this point. I do believe prison needs reform.

Look at what Kamala Harris did while she was the CA Attorney General. She kept prisoners beyond their release date for the cheap labor.

That I have a problem with. Prisons should not be run by for-profit businesses.

They should also reform people. I think if people, particularly younger offenders, were sentenced to a trade or degree and their record expunged after completion we would cut recidivism tremendously.

For profit prisons is a different angle.

Kamala and the state of California needed cheap labor to fight wildfires.

Does New Mexico have a labor shortage currently?

Doc, this should be a separate thread. There is more to this topic, prison and rehabilitation than meets the eye.

I posted this upthread, but NM LEO no longer have immunity. Any officer who enforces this should be sued personally.
Yessir. Deprivation of Rights under color of law.

    It should be treason.

    Make impaling great again
It was always great. It just became improper. And not done.

In this case, I vote for the "blunt end" version. Described in detail by historian Tessa Dunlap in a documentary on vlad dracula.
