Pretty psyched to have scored this bicentennial year Ruger OA, in the original box and unfired. Looks and feels like an incredible gun. Looking forward to shooting it. Have molds for RB and conicals for it. Any wisdom on loads is appreciated.

I think the Ruger Old Army is one of the best Prepper handguns you can have. With appropriate conversion cylinders you can shoot black powder (and with a set of Mag Spark nipples even use 209 primers), and center fire cartridges including .45 Long Colt or .45 Schofield, and .45ACP. And with a quick change base pin swapping cylinders is easy. It gives you lots of choices in a post apocalyptic world.
