I am very inconsistent when I shoot my SA guns. I like shooting both hands and single handed. Both hands for more accuracy. I can also hold a little higher than normal. Single handed for more fun. I also hold lower on the grip then. If I ever get into cowboy shooting like I have told myself I would for the last who knows how many years, I like to think I would try duelist. I'll probably be really bad at it but I imagine I'll have a ton of fun!

Heck any match is a lot of fun! Always good company, lots of fun!

I get it now! NOW I know why these Vaqueros are such a love of many.

Today’s range session was great. I figured out what I need to be doing grip and trigger wise. I consistently shoot high, so I need to learn to hold lower. I burned through 100 rounds. The bull were shot very slowly and with a break between boxes. Having a bunch of fun, figured I’d catch a clip of me popping off the last couple rounds. This is now by far the most fun gun I have to shoot right now!

Ok, that’s good to hear! You shooting single handed or with both? Like Joppa said, high grip ain’t workin! So I should center my palm on the grip so as to allow my pinky to curl under?

My hands are large enough that SAA/ XR3 / XR3- RED I don't have any choice about curling pinky under . Oversize custom grips , depends upon the grip .

One handed or two ? Either and both .

I will observe that a SA Revolver is particularly well suited to one hand shooting .
