    RIP MD.
Wanting to have a more solid trust beyond 3 yards is a bad thing and it’s funny?? And just conversing with each other about individual experiences gets you slagged on? Jesus, no wonder MD cant get out of its own way with 2a issues. Whatever.

I want to like the LCP MAX, but I shoot my original LCP better.
A friend bought the max and we both shoot it really low. The original is fine, even with the tiny goosebump sights.

I just bought one and put 125 failure free rounds though mine. I also felt it shot low, although I was able to get the hang of it after a few magazines. Was getting about 3 inch groups at 5 yards and was getting about 10 inch groups at 15 yards. Minute of torso at 15-20 yards is good enough for me out of this little thing.

You DEFINITELY have to cover the target with those sights.. I have an LCP2, which is a little more like shooting a traditional target pistol sight picture - but the LCP Max is set up for a full “combat cover” style sight picture. None of which matters, because with a little guy like that it’s really all about point shooting and getting the heck outa Dodge anyway. At normal self defense distances, you’re not going to be using those sights anyway.

    Very much this^

I keep reading reports by people online saying that their Max shoots super low at like 5 yards.
I've now shot 3. Kelly McCann's, a member of my training group's, and my brand new one. All shoot like lasers using this type of "combat hold".

Some may not favor the "combat hold", but that's what this particular gun/sights combo seems to be designed to do.

I have just finished working on my 4th Lcp Max to increase its accuracy. This all started with me buying one and it not shooting as good as my P3AT or LCP II. I started studying the problem and figured out a fix.

The Lcp Max seems to have much more clearance in the slide rails than the other two guns I mentioned. There isn't much you can do with that, but I did fine something that was fixable. Ruger left a lot of space between the slide and the dust cover. Since the dust cover is plastic, it is easy to work with using a heat gun.

I heated up the plastic until I got the clearance that I wanted. I made it .0005 and it doesn't interfere with the slide operation at all. It does however, make the slide return pretty much to the same spot and tightens up groups. After putting 300 rounds (with no failure ) through mine, I made the mod to the rest of the family guns. It's worth the time to do the job as it will allow you to get 11/2 inch groups at 10 yards from the bench. ;)

Had pizza Friday night with the same buddy that sold me his old LCP II so he could go to the MAX and now he is selling me the MAX also.
(I think I know where all his money comes from but, what I am certain of is he always sells the guns he no longer wants to me for 1/2 of what he paid …!)
