When I have a loaded round in chamber and pull back on the charging handle the bolt is stuck. I have to pull back really hard to eject the round. I looked at the round and it has a scar on it. I think there might be a burr in the chamber. When the chamber is empty the bolt works as it should. The gun cycles fine when I shoot it.

What type of ammo...sounds like you might have some rounds out of spec. Put a mic on the round or put it in a headspace gage to check it. A headspace gage will tell the tale. It's an invaluable tool.

AR 15 problems with Federal XM 193F

Check out Federals web or just punch in Federal XM 193F . The site says 'for use in 5.56 chambering. do not use in non standard 5.56 chambering"

No the bullet it scraches the copper jacket and about a 1/8 inch of the case mouth.

Hmm, a pic would probably help out here.

Either way I'm going to have to yield to Clandestine and his superior knowledge. I'm not a gunsmith, he is. ;)
