Have a broken gas tank retaining strap. Will need to drop it off at a garage, get back home in MD, and retrieve vehicle next weekend

Can anyone give a recommendation for preferably independent garage capable of doing general work on a lift like that?

Can’t help with a shop. Most tanks have 2 straps. If 1 breaks it’s pretty good chance you can safely strap it up with 2 small ratchet straps to get to your preferred repair shop at home.

Alas , can't get to it to strap without a lift .

Even if there was a u haul open 900 Saturday nite , the per mile cost would be insane .

Mrs Biggfoot has to be at work 9:00 tommorow .

Our ride is already in route from home .

Found a garage recomended by multiple local sources , that is open both sunday and holiday Monday , will leave keys in drop off .

And the garage will have fixed today , at reasonable $ . I'll pay over phone , Mrs Biggfoot and Littlefoot44 will fetch it back .

Tire World , Hwy 6 , Clarks Summit , Pa. Adjacent to Scranton . Also does general auto repair .

Also recommend by multiple knowledgeable local sources , Koast Auto , also Hwy 6 Clarks Summit , but they didn't have Sunday hours .

A bit late but if anyone else ever needs another referral for a mechanic in the Scranton area, they should check out Pranzo's Auto Service at 7 Purdytown Turnpike, Lake Ariel, PA. One of the best repair shop in the area. About 15-20 minutes from Scranton. Great service and pricing. Very honest.

    Thanks .

Googling shows it was 25mi total on the opposite side of town , and I wouldn't have trusted to drive that far .

But meanwhile , I was very pleased with Tire World's service . Done on schedule , on a holiday weekend Sunday , and 10% Under estimate .
