Pressure tank blew a hole. Replaced everything inside the house, but now it looks like the pump is kaput as it was likely running all day. Anybody recommend a well/plumber around Edgewater?

    Thanks.

I had a good experience 10 yrs ago with Robert Wilson/ Wilsons Well and Pump. Rehabbed my well and replaced the pump.

In edgewater, probably not that deep, and probably a small pump. Could probably pull it youself no problem. Pop the top and see it you can lift it manually. I'm in shady side and pulled mine years ago by hand with my 65 year old (at the time) mom. I've pulled them up to 180 feet (with all steel pipe) with a makeshift tripod made out of 2x6's.

Thanks guys. JR from Wilsons came out and stuffed a new pump in. I am pretty handy but no way I could of done it in any sort of timely fashion. 240 ft well, 3/4 hp pump at 100 ft.

I've always dealt with Phelps and haven't had a problem. They replaced my pump about 10 yrs ago.

Whoops late. My well was 420 and hanging at 225. :o
225 hurts my back=) we have a machine for those. When I started and we wanted to show our nuts we'd pull up 250+ by hand. Forget that now. I'll never forget trying to pop one in Charles co way back. I was a rookie and the guy I was with wasn't much smarter =(. Almost lost a thumb that day. Never again. Was hanging 400 feet on 1" steel pipe. F...that...
