A single person's game. 6 month resident police academy. First duty assignments will be the most remote isolated locations. Granted, nothing as remote or isolated as Alaska has.

Whomever is interested, you will love this job, for 5 to 10 years. At 15 years, you will seriously question your leadership, and shortly after that you won't even wear your body armor anymore praying someone will take you out. The golden handcuffs will tighten with every cola and step, but youve given them your best years..

Of course, maybe its ran differently than Maryland.

    200 head for resources officers.
That’s a lot of ground to cover.
    And coastline / backwater bays.
That’s a whole lot less than we have in Md as far as I know.
MD seems to have surged in numbers over the last five years or so. Or was attrition causing the recruiting sprees?
