Informed by our data-driven approach, the county is prioritizing three strategies that will best match the capacity of the county’s resources with areas of identified need. The GVIT will focus on these strategies through the fall of 2021, working collectively and pulling in additional resources to make progress. The data, policy and prevention, and environment workgroups will implement each of these priorities.

Create and publish a monthly data report of gun violence data for Anne Arundel County.

Develop and implement a public awareness campaign about safe gun storage to prevent gun violence.

Implement a coordinated crisis response for reporting and following-up on gun violence incidents in Anne Arundel County.

    BINGO!

How can there be "awareness" for something that doesn't exist?

I know about criminal violence, sometimes with firearms, sometimes with other inanimate objects, and sometimes just the person committing the crime. Gun violence? Don't know it.

I had a sit-down with my firearms yesterday, just to get a feel for why they've never taken the opportunity to violence.

To a trigger, they said, "Dude... we were waiting on you."

when they make it all about guns, they're absolutely and purposefully excusing the animals that are committing the violent crimes.

i'm not sure the exact stats but there are certainly tens of millions of guns out there. if we really had a gun problem, it would be very apparent.

Why don't more people get really animated about that online?

So, if the violence occurred with fists and feet, these deaths would be acceptable?

In GB there is very little personal firearm ownership. They are now running a campaign to ban knives. Asking people to cut the tip off their kitchen knives so it can't be used to stab.
