I bought a Nagant Pistol from J+G two years ago (hand selected) and couldn't hit my barn twice if I tried and it's a a big barn. It looks like new but the barrel must be worn out. I have recently bought a Tokarev 7.63X25 and it's a sweet shooter. Any other Nagant Pistol owners have the same issues?

Especially in DA, that's about my experience. I don't think it's the barrel so much as the struggle to operate the trigger. But nobody buys these for their target abilities. I bought mine because it's fun to blaze away with a 100-year old wheel gun. If you do a search you'll find the trick that the Soviets did - jam a hex nut or a 7.62 slug under the main spring to take up some of the tension and make the pull more tolerable. I haven't done it to mine yet, but I hear it works.

i dunno, within 15 yards or so they seem ok, mostly the stiff trigger and terrible sights limit how well you can shoot it, but i dont think the guns themselves are all that inherently inaccurate, they're actually pretty well made.

It took a few range trips but I'm down to about 3" groups at 25 FEET. Sights can be hard to aim through and you need a light colored target unless you put white out on them.
Yes, trigger pull is the big difference.
try Single Action and use 2 hands on a white paper target with a small orange target on it.
No, it's not as accurate as my CZ 84 or my friends 357 with a really nice trigger job on it.

I bought a Romanian TTC Tokarev Pistol - 7.62x25 from classicfirearms.com. The pistol
(1952) looked like it had never been used. It was in excellent condition and was pretty accurate at 25 yards. It was a little difficult finding the 7.62x25 ammo, but found some at midwayusa.com.

Think of it as a fireworks device that's going to go BANG! and send a projectile somewhere. They weren't really expected to hit anything much more than a few feet away (deserters). In combat, they pretty much just added to the fray.

Melnic - Did you mean to say feet, instead of yards? That's pretty impressive--especially if you are firing off-hand. I'd be happy with 3" out of a Nagant at 7 yards.

YES! 25 ft at indoor range.
    I'm not that good. LOL
