Chambered in 45 acp says Japan on the barrel. I can't identify the maker from the grips and it has no other info on it says M1911A1-67 on it. The barrel is plugged making it inoperable.

    Perhaps a Japanese "non-gun replica"?

There’s also no firing pin or hole drilled for one. It’s made of soft metal that is incapable of holding together if a real round was chambered and fired…but the piece is deliberately dimensioned so genuine gun parts won’t fit.

These vintage replicas have a cult/collector following of their own. Some of the MGC-made, etc sub-machine guns sell for $500 or more. I've got an "MGC-67" P.38 Zero Series, 3rd variation (LOL) that drives the slide backwards and releases when you pull the trigger. Kinda cool.

Look Ma, no firing pin :)
But it does have a loaded chamber indicator pin, go figure.

Yup. Hope you didn't pay much for it.

I had one of those Japanese non-firing replica. They look pretty close to an original 1911 on the outside but very different on the inside.
