I’ve had this 10/22, for about eleven years, and it’s been sitting pretty dormant in my safe, for about 9 of those. That is, until last year…
This year and last, I decided to jump into the NFA world. 8 tax stamps later, I have three 22 suppressors that needed hosts. My 10/22 didn’t come with a threaded barrel, but I read how easy it is to change barrels. The first one was a Ruger barrel, that was threaded and very reasonably priced. Installation was a snap! I was hooked! The more I dove into the rimfire world, the more changes I wanted to make. The barrel, the trigger, the stock, a red dot, a scope, a better barrel, and now, a more powerful scope. Damn I love these things! Now I can really see why there’s so many people that go nuts over them. And now, I am..
Anyway, I’m done boring you, if I haven’t already lost ya. LOL
My build: Ruger receiver/bolt, Ruger BX-22 trigger, Magpul BX Hunter stock, a Beyer 16.5” threaded barrel, an Athlon Midas HMR 2.5-15x50 MOA scope, and of course, a SilencerCo Sparrow. It took 2 shots (bottom target) to sight the brand new scope in. After that, I sent two groups of 10, into 2 ragged holes, at 30 yards, with one flyer, on me. I was bag supported, only in the middle. I know, that if this thing was in a sled, it would most assuredly be a laser! This Beyer barrel is freakishly accurate!

    Nice!

10/22s are like ARs, so fun how they go together like Legos and can be customized.

I have a large handful of Ruger and Ruger patterned rim fires lol

Or pick up a Umarex Notos or similar PCP and blip away. I think I have 4 or 5 10/22's in the safe that haven't been looked at in years.

Very nice OP. Say, what ever happened to the days when a 4X scope "was all you needed" for 22LR? I went from 4X to 2-7X and now have 3-12X on my 22's; but NOOO! we need to have 15X or 20X (or more) scopes now for our 22. Course scopes are (relatively) cheaper and more capable than they used to be 35 years ago.

My PRS/NRL/TBR 10/22 scope is 8-32X. While I never use 32X during competition, when one is evaluating lots of ammo for a precision rifle (capable of <1/2 at 50 yards), dialing up to a 30X+ is a definite plus. Scope magnification on my "Club" class Silhouette 10/22 is set at 4X as per rules, but can be dialed up for another class and for lot evaluation. My rimfire BR scope is a 45X (not a 10/22), which is lower magnification than most top shooters (I'm not one) are using. I would not use a 30X scope for hunting with a rimfire, but for precision work, which a well made 10/22 is capable of, it is pretty much a necessity.

    Then there is centerfire . . .
