Brings back memories and tears to my eyes. Because we used single shot 37mm to fire CS gas at demonstrators during the 70s in DC. The wind direction was always changing.

My wife has drawn the line at actual high explosives, for whatever reason.

What she don't know won't hurt her, right?

You can't get HE rounds for that, not easily anyway I don't think. Each round would be a buttload of ATF paperwork, a long wait, and cost a fortune. And rolling your own is a big no no if I'm not mistaken.

Anyone have any experience with this?

No HE, as you would have to roll your own and that would require a manufacturers license, ATF approved underground or heavy concrete magazine, DD registration, ATF inspections, etc. Also, even if they were available, each round would have to have a 200.00 tax stamp without a manufacturers license.
But buckshot and flechette only need a DD stamp, still waiting for the extra funds to tie up for six months while waiting on that stamp, but in the meantime, I will stick with smoke and flares.
