I’m a progressive from MoCo who wants to leave MoCo because of their paternalistic laws and high taxes, but I want to stay in Maryland because it is a safe space for me to express myself.

I intend to vote blue no matter who and then feel morally superior to everyone because I did my part to make the world a better place. That’s it, that’s all I do for my fellow man: vote democrat. No volunteering, not charitable giving, nada.

I’ve heard good things about Carroll County, why don’t you think it’s nice? Based on what I’ve said can you please recommend where you think I should go?
    Hell?

Looking at the top chart, there is a 18k difference between ‘submited’ and ‘approved/disapproved’, are they carry-overs and still pending from 2022?

    Great info, thank you...

As costs of living in Baltimore County, Howard, PG, Montgomery go up the counties nearby tend to pick up the demographic that would like to live in the aforementioned counties but can't afford it Carrol and Frederick tend be the next best thing since they are better than "City" living but cheaper than the "Premier" counties in the state.

I'm sure someone will chime in shortly but "To Hell" would probably be a good start.

That was under "Good and Substantial" being required to get a MD permit. They refused to issue a lot of permits based on it.
So, are you saying they approved the permit but refused to issue it? Why approve it if that is the case. I guess... because MD.

Sorry, I definitely read your question backwards. I cannot think of a single reason why there are more approved than submitted. Unless it's an error

One of the sharper delegates (it's a relative term) asked that question. The MSP danced but it was basically they may have been approved but not yet issued. And Maryland.

Here’s a link to the video of the briefing.

MSP Judiciary Committee Briefing Video 1/25/23
So, some interesting tidbits in there. #1 was medical mj cards are NOT a disqualifier for W&C permits. #2, and more importantly, three of the top four jurisdictions with the most permits are BaltCo, PGCo, and Balt City. So wouldn't SB1 be unfairly targeting the people that live in those jurisdictions? IE People of color and minorities? Seems like a good talking point to me.

PG county should suit your needs nicely.

Anyone see the irony of the county with the lowest percentage of permits having a new unconstitutional carry law on the books?

    Carroll Co.
Carroll County is not a very good place to live. That is why the numbers are so high.
I don't recommend moving to Carroll, especially if you are in Montgomery, Howard or PG counties.
This. I live in Carroll and the county's full (and dangerous, very dangerous). Best to look elsewhere.
