Jut read the Frederick gun show thread. Are Mosins now getting hard to find also? Saw a hex receiver with a star on the the round front part and a hammer on the hex part. 1926 date stamp. Can anyone tell me what that means? I don't know jack about these guns but they sure seem to be popular. Is cheap ammo the reason? They must kick like a mule.

There were some to be had at frederick but not a lot. Think most at good price went fast. Mosins dont kick that bad but for us taller folk the length of pull is a bit short and ammo can be had for a bit under $100 for 440rds. Last can I payed $80 and I payed $90 for my 1929 tula hex reciever 91/30. They are fun. http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinID.htm just about anything on a mosin u could care to know.
