Should Montgomery & Prince George's County join D.C.? What would be the benefits?
It would benefit ALL of Maryland, getting those leftist a-holes out of our electorate. And maybe then our Governor would originate from some other county or region. They can have Baltimore City as well. Those 3 areas F(oul) up every damn election we have. Nearly every inch of this state is RED except for them, but unfortunately their population numbers drive all of our representatives, and for the worse.

We would still have to deal with Howard county (which I believe got corrupted by Montgomery county) & Baltimore
Pretty much every County experiences the flights from suburban areas that begin taking on the plans and policies of increasing density thinking they will increase revenue coffers. Unfortunately they forget buildings and infrastructure require renovations and restorations after their design life expectancy and gentrification begins with increase in social problems and lack of the aforementioned.

The cycle of flight from blight is unsustainable and unstoppable. Plan on moving outward every 20 years and watch the show of political incompetence.

The reverse is more likely to happen. Since DC can not become a state the most that a can happen is all but area around the Capitol gets returned to Md.

If they joined together, then they would have more standing to become a state. Unless there's a new red state that could be carved out to balance the new blue state, I would stand firm with "No".

The makeup of the MD General Assembly says that's no longer accurate. Almost every part of MD sends some Dems to Annapolis.
