    Bruen page 30 Footnote 9.

"9 To be clear, nothing in our analysis should be interpreted to suggest
the unconstitutionality of the 43 States’ “shall-issue” licensing regimes,
under which “a general desire for self-defense is sufficient to obtain a
    [permit].” Drake v. Filko, 724 F. 3d 426, 442 (CA3 2013) (Hardiman, J.,
dissenting). Because these licensing regimes do not require applicants
to show an atypical need for armed self-defense, they do not necessarily
prevent “law-abiding, responsible citizens” from exercising their Second
Amendment right to public carry. District of Columbia v. Heller, 554
    U. S. 570, 635 (2008). Rather, it appears that these shall-issue regimes,
which often require applicants to undergo a background check or pass a
firearms safety course, are designed to ensure only that those bearing
arms in the jurisdiction are, in fact, “law-abiding, responsible citizens.”
Ibid. And they likewise appear to contain only “narrow, objective, and
definite standards” guiding licensing officials, Shuttlesworth v. Birming-
    ham, 394 U. S. 147, 151 (1969), rather than requiring the “appraisal of
facts, the exercise of judgment, and the formation of an opinion,” Cant-
    well v. Connecticut, 310 U. S. 296, 305 (1940)—features that typify
proper-cause standards like New York’s. That said, because any permit-
ting scheme can be put toward abusive ends, we do not rule out constitu-
tional challenges to shall-issue regimes where, for example, lengthy wait

times in processing license applications or exorbitant fees deny ordinary
citizens their right to public carry."

    My added emphasis.

Needed magic words: the plaintiffs carried in X location now prohibited and fully intend to continue to carry in X location after enactment but fear being arrested if they do so.
I carry in places that serve alcohol now. I do not drink alcohol when I am carrying. I fully intend to continue to do so. (more SB1 applicable)

And without saying too much, MoCo can suck it. (more 21-22 applicable)
You know I'm chomping at the bit to get involved in a suit
While I may not share his enthusiasm...beam me up Scotty

    We need some gpvernment.

We need a government to deal with other nations' governments.

We need government to protect the individual citizen from sociopaths and psychopaths, on both a minor and major scale:

The minor scale would apply to individual and small bands of criminals, who may need to be removed from society for society's sake. In more civilised times, a lot of these were executed, saving the citizens from recidivism, and the treasury from the expense of housing them.

The major scale of protection would be from the sociopaths who control large corporations and the like, whose capability to skew the playing field to the economic disadvantage of the citizenry is constrained by laws against monopolies and other economic engines.

What we lack, and desperately need, is a mechanism to protect us from the sociopaths who run the government for their own advantage, and for the satisfaction of their lust for power. That was part of the purpose for the Second AMendment, but the government has grown and metasticised to the point that the cartridge box is insufficient for the purpose.

The judge hit snooze on us.

Just about 40 days since last court date. I believe 68 days since MSI gave their response to moco.

People are getting quicker responses from the state police regarding permits than this dude takes to make a ruling

    Won’t change their vote any.
    The voters speak;

"She said she’s not aware of any community resources available to help residents know what to do in the event of a public shooting or carjacking incident."

Not enough brochures, that's the problem! :smack:

So true. The tone-deafness is astounding.

I was up at this Costco yesterday. I saw a MoCo Police Car driving around the lot and there was a uniformed officer standing at the entrance to the Costco inside.

We're at the point where people who wanted to defund the police and supported leadership which wanted that now realize that they want police around for safety and can't understand why they aren't around enough.

We're approaching the 90 day "required" turnaround for a DC Concealed Carry Permit.
