Would be good advice to not stand near her or her relatives.Denise Reid has an unfortunate level of knowledge about gun violence, with 11 family members shot or killed.

Sounds like either an unfortunate, but fortunately exceedingly rare, victims of a mass shooting at a family reunion. Or perhaps she happens to be related to a lot of people who should have reconsidered their life choices at a much younger age.Would be good advice to not stand near her or her relatives.
Sad but true.Sounds like either an unfortunate, but fortunately exceedingly rare, victims of a mass shooting at a family reunion. Or perhaps she happens to be related to a lot of people who should have reconsidered their life choices at a much younger age.
This is the way of Star Chambers and Inquisitions. What a cluster government has become. Choose to not enforce a patently unconstitutional law and you deny plaintiffs standing to challenge it, yet it hangs over everyones heads because the county may turn on enforcement at any time.
I think it means any decisions are stayed. For now. Either no decision has been made, or it was, but it is stayed pending appeal.I am unable to see Document 71, However the top of the Docket has the words "LEAD, STAYED"
Who has an idea what that means??

Because you abandon the right to remain silent when you confess.Re: the previous claims that they could arrest plaintiffs for claims they are carrying despite the law
Doesn't that go against your right to self incriminating? Or am I misunderstanding how that right works? If I call the cops and say "I'm breaking this law" but they don't witness it themselves how can I be arrested?
LOL, You stated that so eloquently.Because you abandon the right to remain silent when you confess.
Don't do that.
This is for the MoCo County law, not any state law, so NO, it would not affect any state law. Were "ghost guns" / unfinished receivers / PMFs discussed at all yesterday? If this law gets a PI/TRO, would that affect the state law at all?

The county detective who shared a drink with me a week or so back: he said he hasn’t talked to single officer or detective with the slightest interest in enforcing it, and that they haven’t had any briefing/coaching on it at all.fwiw, I spoke to a MCPD officer, who said it's a "majority of the cops he knows" opinions that this law is ******** and they're not going to enforce it.
Plenty of violent crimes committed with a firearm in the county since 1/1/23 and none have been charged with such a thing. County repeating in court that they wont be enforcing. The county detective who shared a drink with me a week or so back: he said he hasn’t talked to single officer or detective with the slightest interest in enforcing it, and that they haven’t had any briefing/coaching on it at all.
He did fret that if an otherwise legal carrier gets caught up in a kerfuffle, that the cops involved won’t be the ones making the call - county prosecutors will use it when and how and against whichever straight middle aged white conservative guy needs a cultural spanking, as it serves their politics.
Well, they've said that we have no proof that they plan to enforce it and haven't so far. But they also refuse to enter into a binding agreement not to enforce until after the case is decided. They won't use it against an actual criminal, they'll wait to jam someone up for otherwise legally defending themselves.Plenty of violent crimes committed with a firearm in the county since 1/1/23 and none have been charged with such a thing.
