Have a Miroku over/under, similar to early Citori. In the action there is a rod - trying to determine purpose- ejector v extractor ? Picture attached. Reason I am curious is bottom barrel extracts, top ejects, wondering if I can change this.

    Thanks in advance

My 1989 Citori Lightning has two of those rods in it. Both barrels will eject fired shells. As already mentioned, if the shell is unfired it will merely lift it out of the chamber so it is easier to unload the gun. Fired shells, top and bottom, come flying out.
