It was never a good idea having MPD be the city's sole FFL but I'm not sure they had a way around it.

The agencies deserve every ounce of scrutiny, anytime the government does something they do it wrong . My question is who is going to scrutinize the ATF for all their dirty laundry.

Government is the problem, get rid of 50% of government and things will be better

    Reading the article -

    - and thinking about those who see any correlation between “focusing on guns” as ever doing anything substantive about out-of-control violent crime and the breakdown of our society -

    - the image of a snake swallowing its own tail just becomes larger and clear, paragraph by paragraph, of the article …

ATF DOJ is upset and going zero tolerance on FFL for selling guns used in crimes…

as many know, especially here, dc metro was one of the only FFLs in dc doing transfers for a while.

seems any FFL even when it’s police, can sell a gun that gets used in crime in the future. Hmmm

    the details in the story.

Obama stopped us retiring FEDS from buying our issued guns or when we transitioned to different ones because he didn't want those guns used in crimes.

I guess he recognised that retired FEDS were no longer authorised to commit crimes under federal control.

Can't let those guys go rogue; that's FBI territory.

DC police were the transfer agents of what, 8000 guns to DC residents?

They were careful to note that they "never sold any guns!" Right, they merely vetted the purchasers.

It will be amusing to watch them all dance around this one.

Dumb fuks. They believe that a tool is responsible for the way it was used.

They want to damn the tool… but they release the criminal back into the general public.

    Idiots. :sad20:

and this explains the wording "NOT DISAPPROVED" from msp...

surely that absolves them from the responsibility that private ffl's would have.
