Sent from my sister in Sussex County DE today. Not MD but pretty cool.
A few years back I had a doe leave her twin fawns in the shade under my birch tree for an afternoon. Mom grazed around the whole yard and the babies never tried to follow. I was happy that they felt that safe there.Fawn
That's awesome! We have a bunch critters around here. Their stay is usually short. My Jack Russells keep a tight patrol in the yard.A few years back I had a doe leave her twin fawns in the shade under my birch tree for an afternoon. Portly fellowNot great pictures on my phone but a big bear this morning. Caught drinking out of the fish pond and scratching his back. This bear was tagged in the ear.

That's it. My neighbor spotted it at her birdfeeder, pecking around the ground. My daughter and I were driving back into the neighborhood a few minutes later and there it was.Just the one hen?
