    Friend of mine has had a Mauser rifle passed on to him from his grandfather.
    Markings on receiver read
    Mauser models Argentina 1891
    Under it manufactura Loewe berlin
    Has what looks like a birds wing in front of the word mauser
    Wood stock and buttplate
    7.65 with a 6 round clip

    Can anyone shed some light on what history this rifle has?
    When made for and for who. Very good condition just trying to find out when and who it may of been made forThanks

    Well, its Argenine, so made for the Argentine Army.

    There are carbines and full length rifles.
    I do have one of each, the full length rifles can be Antique as mine is. (both shown in post 26

    You can trace the serial # for the mfg date
