In 1998, the little sporting goods shop on Main Street in Falmouth, MA had a sporterized Krag carbine. Before I could buy it I had to sit through an eight hour class, submit an application and get fingerprinted to get my Firearms Identification Card. Issuance of the card allowed me to buy the gun AND allowed me to buy ammo. Issuance of the card was at the discretion of the local police chief. They told me that the only reason I was being approved was that I was USCG and would be taking the gun with me when I left MA.

MA is a lovely state and I met many wonderful people there but the lunacy is full bore.

    This is how tyranny rolls.

Just find thousands of little tyrants to carry out your will.

It’s how Rome and London did it.

We know that. They can arrest anyone for violating the magazine ban, unless you can PROVE it was purchased pre ban.

It’s illegal to buy a magazine in PA or Maine and bring it to Massachusetts.
always thought America was that THEY had to prove you purchased after.

Since there was never a statutory requirement to keep receipts, this must be unconstitutional but it will take the courts a few years to say so.
Absolutely! There’s no historical precedent or tradition of restrictions on how much ammunition one may carry or possess, all of those Mag restrictions will eventually be struck down.

Imagine if the militia at Lexington were restricted to only 10 rounds per cartridge box.
