Most modern smart phones can take a good enough photo where you don't need a scanner. Some can even recognize and "scan" documents with the camera

The details of the process aren't first on my mind. I'll be a bit late to the party because I need training. Happily, a gun club of which I am a member is organizing a class for members. We'll get a good rate, and have similar firearms skills, so we won't have experts and neophytes all clustered together.
