My brother and I have a Hornady Lock-n-load progressive press we got about a year ago, we have bother been reloading for about 5 years. No experts by any means, just good enough to get in trouble :innocent0

Anyway, I like to load .30 M1 Carbine on it and there a few hiccups I have encountered.

#1 is the case feeder. Using the small rifle feeder plate (as per Hornady instruction) the cases sometimes become flipped upside down in the tube and I need to re flip them before they hit the shell holder. An annoyance, but not staggering.

#2 I cannot for the life of me get my RCBS sizing die to work in this press. I have adjusted it every way I know how! Every time I crimp, the bullet falls right back into the case, even with a stupid heavy crimp. I am forced to size on my RCBS Rock Chucker and have no issues once I do that.

Has anyone run into theses issues? ANy help would be grateful!

#1 - Case feeders are not infallible. Get used to the occasional flipped case.

#2 - Is your sizing die misadjusted or your seat/crimp die? Or your expander?

The die should be adjusted the same as in your RockChucker. With the ram all the way up, the die should be turned until it touches the shell plate, then a bit more.

Run a single case through the press, removing it after each step and examining and measuring.
