My brother and I have a Hornady Lock-n-load progressive press we got about a year ago, we have bother been reloading for about 5 years. No experts by any means, just good enough to get in trouble
Anyway, I like to load .30 M1 Carbine on it and there a few hiccups I have encountered.
#1 is the case feeder. Using the small rifle feeder plate (as per Hornady instruction) the cases sometimes become flipped upside down in the tube and I need to re flip them before they hit the shell holder. An annoyance, but not staggering.
#2 I cannot for the life of me get my RCBS sizing die to work in this press. I have adjusted it every way I know how! Every time I crimp, the bullet falls right back into the case, even with a stupid heavy crimp. I am forced to size on my RCBS Rock Chucker and have no issues once I do that.
Has anyone run into theses issues? ANy help would be grateful!
