I have a FWB 124 Sport that I had to change the piston seal on . And I need to lubricate the spring and tube ect... Not sure what was used before but it was like molasses in the winter. So I'm looking for the best option on a lubricant.

Dont add any lube in the chamber! It can/will diesel and can damage the gun. Any grease will work on the spring side parts. Many use moly pastes/grease. I always have both regular and moldy loaded M1 synthetic grease handy for other things so that's what I've used. For the spring itself, spring tar from Maccari stops resonance and keeps the noise down. It is supposed to have something thick like molasses on it.
There are non÷combustible Krytox greases avail but they are really pricey. I have a small tube that I've used in some car applications(its safe to use on any material seal.)

Nice gun. I have at least one in the back if the safe somewhere.

I'm wondering if the grease or what everitt was caused the piston seal/ venturi to disintegrate ?

That is a definite possibility. Seals are very sensitive to lubricant makeup. I use pure silicone grease on my seals and have not had any issues. I did use silicone spray in the can once and it detonated resulting in my having to rebuild my Marauder Pistol.

White lithium grease works well on piston seals. Only need to use a little to coat the seal, and it won't cause dieseling.

Hands down the BEST springer piston lube is Krytox. Ebay is your best bet.

It's also sold as Ultimox 226. This is what I use -

Not cheap but will NOT diesel.

Since I only have one springer these days, I'll stick with my homemade stuff. I just replaced my GAMO Whisper piston after 10000 pellets. It was still going strong but I had been wanting to polish the bore and take the rough edges off the entire cocking mechanism so I found a dead day and did it. There was no difference between the old seal and new seal as far as power, even though the original had gauge marks from polishing down the rough cylinder.

Funny, I never thought I would ever buy a Gamo but, after I made a better trigger for it, it turned out to be very impressive.

I oil my barrel before every shot so the bullet can slide down easier.....
