    Hello,

Was looking for info about NRA Service rifle matches in the area. Actually anything within 200 miles of DC.

    Thanks

    Chris

I shoot in the club league at AGC (200 yard reduced course matches).

I know there is a 100 yard reduced course set of matches in Northern VA

Quantico Va and Bridgeville delaware run full course matches.

There are a bunch just over the pa border as well.....

Ft. Hill out in Cumberland and New Holland in Pa. in addition to the above. I have not been to Ft. Hill in a while, but it is one of the most enjoyable places to shoot that I have ever been to. There are a few matches at Ft. Meade too, but range time is very limited and the match necessarily has to run fast to finish in the time frame allowed.

Anybody know about AGC High Power League ?

The AGC is the Associated Gun Clubs- there are two dozen or more clubs that use the ranges there. You join one of the clubs (Club = $10 - $50 or so), and that allows you to get a range badge (badge = $150 Jan-Dec or $75 July - Dec).

    From the AGC site:

    http://www.associatedgunclubs.org/

    Go to the clubs link:

    http://www.associatedgunclubs.org/clubs.html

And see how the different clubs describe themselves. Some have High Power teams, some don't. Some are more serious about it than others. Some clubs are big, like Monumental, some have activities of widespread interest, like Monumental. Some are smaller and more specialized, like Maryland Rifle Club (which I believe is very serious about High Power).

Anyway, check out the various clubs, and contact a member for more information. Joining the AGC is very easy, and new members are welcome. The place is huge- it's the biggest and best (non-government) range in Maryland.

Also about AGC,, no matter what club you join,, 99.9% of the time you shoot with whom ever you want. I belong to Stemmers Run Rifle and Pistol,, and shoot with folks from every other club there. We have one HP team,, looking to start another.
