Legal Heat is doing a WV Concealed Handgun class near me in Morgantown, WV soon. I know there is a range part but the class isn't at a range (possibly at one near at the end of class I assume). Has anyone ever dealt with Legal Heat before?

Never heard of them, what’s the curriculum? Does it qualify for training in any other states like a Utah permit, or is this purely tactics/educational since WV is constitutional carry now?

They cover everything for the MD and AZ Permits for MD residents. With work, I can carry in all 50, but I mainly want the WV Permit for the NICS exemption. The WV course also covers VA according to their website and the WV Permit is available to non-residents.

Legal Heat Class at Bass Pro in Hanover, MD

Legal Heat Class at Sportsman's Warehouse in Morgantown, WV

They also have classes at Cabela's in Triadelphia, WV and Charleston, WV.

Ok. I just didn't pick up on "NICS". Didn't know WV did that.
In WV, you still have to fill out the ATF Form 4473 and they either make a call or log everything into NICS on a computer. With a West Virginia Concealed Handgun License, you just fill out the 4473 and walk out the door with your purchase. Some dealers accept it and some don't. Most that I deal with around here do.
