    Actually its three pieces, the band, the screw and the swivel if you are talking about the front sling swivel.

    This is what I mean. :) It's marked "S" for Savage I believe.

    Yes, thats another reason I prefer Lee Enfields other than Savage-made ones. In reality the loop is supposed to be centered & staked in place by the two little "ears" on the loop & matching dimples on the swivel. You could always push it back to center & add a bit of solder, braze or epoxy to keep the thing together.
