What do you guys think of the KynShot hydraulic buffer? I am considering it for a 9mm PCC with a 16" barrel. The lower is MILSPEC with a Hahn Precision magwell insert using Colt-style mags. There is a standard and a heavy damped model.

The previous state of the art for 9mm PCCs was a Blitzkrieg buffer with a 308 spring. Some of us are messing with the Maxim Defense roller-delayed buffer, which is generally good if you're running hot ammo. The Scheels roller-delayed setup is also liked by some people, especially the gen2 version.

Oh. I thought something was wrong. I dunno. My Sig MPX K is pretty damn smooth. I know it isn't a buffer system, but aren't all PPC's in 9mm smooth? How much smoother do you need?
I have never shot a Sig MPX K but I suspect it's a much better design than my straight blowback AR9, with or without the hydraulic buffer.

Actually @Blaster229 you are on to something; instead of spending money trying various solutions for an AR9, just buy a better designed PCC in the first place. There are a few out there. I admit though, I love to tinker with an AR9.

I'm not keen on Glock mags for a PCC, but ...

I have a kynshot HD for my 7.62x39 upper. Really calmed it down. Was a jackhammer in full auto.
9mm is on the opposite end of the energy/recoil spectrum however so I doubt its needed and question if it would even be noticeable? I haven't run a pure blowback 9mm in ages though.

You wouldn't think so, but there are a lot of shooters out there that seem to think it works.

There is also a buffer built by KAK, the K Spec, that has a spring in the head of the buffer but otherwise looks like a regular PCC buffer.
