KS Kuts: Update

I just received this email from KS Kuts, the deer butcher many of us use located outside Damascus.
He suffered a major heart attack at the beginning of last deer season:

Good Morning,

As everyone knows Kris had a health emergency last year during deer season. He is recovering well but still isn't up to par to operate full time.

Therefore KS Kuts will only be taking donation deer for the 2022-23 hunting season.

There are other processors in the area and all are on Google. KS Kuts will not recommend one processor over the other, this decision is one you will have to make.

Wow, I'm very sorry to hear this. Kris and his family are very good people.

It's not close to Damascus, but for anyone in a pinch, I've had a really good experience using Gadell's processing in Nokesville, VA.

Outrider, being as I'm right down the road from Kris, did you ever find another processor last year that. was close by and good? I recall a thread discussing this then but wasn't sure if you ever found one.

Many people both on the board and off have recommended Tim Mullinix as an alternative. he's just on the other side of Damascus.

Deer Butchering: Who are You using?

Now that KSKuts is de-funked(at least for this season), who are you guys using? It would be nice to do my own, but basically I don't have the room, and I have my deer for the year. I'm looking for someplace that will butcher or take for FHFH donations in my area. I'm in G-burg. Can you steer...
