Job Process at Garda

Does anyone have any info on the process of applying to Garda is like? Mainly concerning is there really a polygraph? What is the procedure for it? Do you get fired if you fail it? Also does your type of holster does it have to be level 1, 2, or 3? And is color an issue? I know you are only allowed to carry one side arm, but can you change the one you carry? What kind of accuracy qualification do you need? Anything else people should know if before they applied?

I haven't lied. But you know its not exactly a science. So clearly mistakes can be made by the proctor of the test.
