    Where they send me.
Not familiar with his work, seems the guy on Blade Forums have mixed reviews on him.

They are $$$$. For me, a knife, especially one I'm going to carry in bad places is a bit personal and I want one which I handled and it really fit my want/needs.

Is it a gift for him to use, or one for show? If use, I don't think I would want to carry anything that $$ downrange.

May be best for him to get to his unit and see what they are mostly using. Don't want to stick out as the new guy with the $3k "counter-terrorism" knife.

Which beret will he be earning? That may impact it some also.

“Only” the sage one right now. He was a CCT candidate but a training injury left him with two fractured legs. Luckily, he was allowed to select for SERE.

Yeah, it’s stupid expensive. I don’t have many years left above topsoil but every time one of my kids has a milestone event, I give them a commemorative item.

I hadn't heard of Jay Fisher, but looked into them after seeing this. He makes some amazing knives. They definitely appear to be the Rolex of knives. Maybe even the Patek Philippe.
