While I'm not a member of BCC Chap., I am a life member of IWLA (in MD.) since 1978 and have interacted with many BCC Chap. members over the years. A great chapter with fantastic facilities! By all means, contact them and go.

I belong to the Damascus chapter. We have monthly membership meetings. I assume BCC has something similar. Anyway, you could inquire about that with them and attend a meeting to introduce yourself and get to know some members there.

You need to attend 3 dinner meetings to join. The dinner meetings are open to the public and the gate will be open so you can drive in without an access card. Info at www.bcciwla.org

When I joined I went to a meeting and introduced myself and some very friendly member offered to sponsor me. Great and friendly folks there I highly recommend you join them.
