    Hello,

Looking for information regarding the proper way to transfer a pistol of a person who passed in Maryland to grown child who resides in another state.

    thank you,

Find an FFL in the grown child's state, ask them if they will accept a direct transfer from the estate, if not then locate a Maryland FFL and have it transferred to the FFL in the other state. The adult child then follows whatever laws in his state to receive the firearm from the FFL.

If the pistol is C&R eligible it might be worthwhile for the son to apply for an 03FFL, if he doesn't already have one.
