Sorry for the delay....the answer is, incredibly, both!!! Same individual, a notorious local drunk/druggie was granted a free pass by the one voted out {Fritz} at least 4 times...Jamie Sterling just gave him a walk on his 6th known DWI. Probation. He has been escorted by LEO's to his father's house multiple other times. If she keeps this up we will vote her out too!!!!! People are sick and tired of drunks and she is not even from this county. I would say that if we had a local person that was worth a damn they could give her a headache next election time.

    5 is the magic number!

While searching the vehicle, police said they found a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun with a 15-inch barrel...

    Nice touch!

These mug shots are a painful reminder of what drugs and alcohol addiction does to people. If I had kids I'd tell them "If you want to totally wreck your lives and end up dead or in prison, get involved with drugs/alcohol" on a daily basis.

DUI laws are written by lawyers for lawyers, not to protect us from habitual drunkards

Big Business for the Lawyers for sure. I'm always confused about DWI vs DUI and have to be reminded of the difference. The acronyms don't make sense that DUI is worse than DWI.

Refusing the breath test on scene has always confused me.
I know someone who had accident, refused the breath test. Got to the hospital and they did blood test and it was .03
I had thought refusing it made you get a ticket.
He was never given any ticket or anything. He did pay a price for the incident in totaling car (hit tree), Fractured rib/sternum & concussion.

^ This. Which is why no one gets really serious about putting these people away.

As someone who has had a family member killed by a drunk and a stoned driver, I’d support laws that say: “You drink, you drive, you kill, you die.” It’s time to put these people out of our misery.

But the lawyers in the legislatures will never do this.

    Back in the day , " Intoxicated " was .15 , and " Impaired " was .10

Why would they kill their dependable revenue generators?

It’s one of the few ways to kill somebody and walk away free.
