To post ads in the classifieds you need either 50 meaningful posts or pay an annual fee of $10 to support the site.

The mods are who choose. Posts #1 and #3 above would likely be fine. Unfortunately, all too often someone makes a bunch of posts like #2 (in one sitting) just to get into the classifieds

As long as you're not posting spam, you won't have a problem.

There have been people who have posted a series of one line (or even one word), sometimes nonsensical posts to old threads, just to get to 50 posts and sell something.

Crap like "That's awesome!" and "I agree!" every ten minutes. It's obvious and a mod will delete them and possibly suspend the account for a bit.

Look for topics you're interested in and join in, or start one about your most recent acquisition or range trip, and you could be over 50 by the end of the day without any garbage posts.
