Hql denial

New to group and not sure if this is where or how to post this. Applied for hql was denied while in process of expungement. Expungement has since been finalized (cjis had to go back in and do something)and spoke with mdsp officer which did a background check that came back clear. Called hql person back and explained my record came back clear but he said it was still denied. Am i missing something or is there anything i can do because i thought an expungement erased or acts like the case didn't occur

I’m not sure but you may be able to appeal it. I’ve heard of others with the same issue that talked to MSP and attached their expungement paper waits and go it approved. Do a thread search, there should be several of them.
