I looked into getting DC certified but was very expensive and let’s face it, where can you carry in DC even with a permit. I’d rather use the money to get better classroom supplies

Unfortunately I live within walking distance of DC. Dogs and I used to venture across the line in our late nite walks. Now not so much, not so far.

But can you get to them? Seems to me there would be a lot of risk.

    TD
Absolutely you can get to them without issue.

If you haven't read the actual DC carry laws, I would encourage you to do so.

The restrictions sound more onerous than reality. Like the defunct MoCo rules.

There was a member here that provided simunition training in Odenton, there wasn't enough interest from the firearms community to keep him in business for the regular shooter, so he closed shop and moved. I think he is still doing simunition training, but for LE only now.
Well, he really wasn't clear on his bonafides. And most of his SIMS stuff was the "zombie shoots". People running around just having at it. And it was expensive.

He was clear when asked directly.
He was expensive, and limited the number of sims in each scenario.
I went to several regular scenario based training events as well as the one zombie event.

Clear about his experience? Because I could never draw it from him.
He certainly is no tier 1 guy. But he wanted people to think that.

I don't believe he ever let on that he was a former tier one guy or wanted people to believe that. Former MSP motor officer, firearms guy, MSP Handgun Instructor, Simunition certified instructor. (nothing more, nothing less).

Minuteman who was close with him had told me he was SF. Meh who knows. He wasn't a very personable guy.
