Hopewell Fish and Game Assoc. Groundhog Shooting Competition

I’m not sure where the other dates came from, but the first shoot date is 4/16, this year. I’m the chairperson of the Groundhog Shoots, did all the dates and run the shoots. 4/16 is the real start date for 2023. I just looked at the calendar and the 4/7 date is for the sporting clay “Bunny Shoot”. The 4/8 date is for the regular Saturday Sporting Clay shoot.

Looking forward to trying a new facility. Did groundhog shoots at Henry Jones Range in West Virginia last year. Great time, good people except for the 3.5 hour drive each way. One thing that they did was keep a record of who shot each match and their score. The last match of the season was the championship match from the compiled scores all season. Either way, it's still a fun time at the range.

No, unfortunately, we do not allow a “sight in practice” on the day of the shoot. Realky, more a logistical thing. We start setting up at 7AM and shooting is not allowed on the range until 8AM on any day.
