Just submitted for a modification to my restricted permit tied to my ABC employment. Fingers crossed!

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem too. Guess I'll create a new account. Thanks.

Didn't work for me. Getting a warning about driver's license number is already used for an account. Ironically the password reset just worked.
Glad it ended up working out for you one way or the other. That's funny though, because when I went to create the new account I expected it to flag it as a duplicate account, but it didn't. Curious.

I had to reset my password 2x before it would work. Kept giving me an invalid credential with the first password even though it met the criteria.

Easy….”9mm pistol sir”….I forgot you guys have to register your guns though…ouch.

That reciprocity will be fun when it hits, however if it doesn’t hit soonish….

I want to apply….but it’s no business of the MSP what pistol(s) I would be carrying the few times a year I visit your state. Same for any out of state resident, I mean will Maryland ask us to register our pistols to get a MD permit….they couldn’t be serious

There you go again, only referencing what you want and not what was written in the entire post.
There you go again… thinking your attempted moderation of what I choose to post, actually matters to me. You do you.

Now please tell us that you disagree… and that Maryland residents must register a particular handgun to their CCW application.

    Because, it’s not required.

Thanks for that. Would be shocked if MD comes out on the generous side, at least voluntarily anytime soon. But I do love surprises.

Come into my parlor, said the spider to the fly.......
I have been thinking about it, I just never know which days I'm going to wake up feeling like crap. Those sandwiches look damned good.
just make sure eruby does not give you the Nick Dog...

When I got my wear and carry about 8 months ago the trooper conducted my interview by phone becasue of the RONA fears. She also asked when was the last time I was involved in a fist fight. LOL
So what if someone were to answer they were in a fist fight a few years ago? Would they be denied?

some here know I was involved in a fight with someone who attacked and stabbed me, I ended up in shock trauma, he ended up in prison. I was fighting in self defense, but I’m sure a MSP interviewer could view me as confrontational for defending myself. I wasn‘t charged with anything and never have been.

As any good recruiter would say: unless the government can prove it, the answer is "no"!

I agree, but I’m sure there is a police report somewhere with my name being involved in a fight.
If you were never charged, let alone convicted, you are not prohibited. If MSP tried to withhold a permit based a mere arrest where no charges were filed, you'd have a pretty strong 14th Amendment claim (deprivation of rights w/o due process of law)

MSI reports everything is supposedly working now

I wish that were the case. Certain things involving automated emails from the MSP portal (PW resets for expired passwords, "not disapproved" emails) seem to not be. I can attest to the former (been trying for the last 24 hours or so) and there is a recent thread on the latter.

If you weren't arrested and charged it never happened

He could've done this day 1 in office. For the naysayers, secretary of msp decides what qualifies as g&s. Hogan could have directed the secretary to accept self defense as a good and substantial reason or appoint one that would.
Late to this one, ben on the road, but MSP has always accepted self defense/personal protection as G&S, the issue was their administrative over reach on what they required to prove the need.

While the Ag's letter addressed what Fat Larry could instruct the Secretary what to do administratively, it did not address what he did this past Tuesday, which was essentially strike a section of state law, deemed Unconstitutional. That is the only way he is/was able to change any part of the actual law, otherwise, the legislature is the only legal authority that can do that, until the courts get involved.
