Award winning is a pretty damn low bar. You literally have porn that is "award winning," does that make it an art expression? Maybe if these morons focused on making sure kids can actually read, write, be able to perform basic arithmetic and I don't know, at least know some basic history (even the mean offensive kind) and geography, that could help those kids grow up into well rounded adults capable of actually figuring out who they want to be in life, professionally and personally.

Hey, I agree. I'm just saying that these are the criteria that school boards are using to justify indoctrinating your kids into so-called "alternative lifestyles." Buzzwords like "award winning" and "female author of color" are meant to prevent parents (especially white, hetero parents) from objecting.

The degree of gaslighting and social manipulation that goes into this is simply stunning. I am a very simple person who loathes politics and palace intrigue so I can barely keep up with this stuff. Norton is really perceptive and orders of magnitude better at sussing this stuff out than I am.

Yep, "no pedophilia here ..." so they're putting them back on the high-school library shelves. We've posted some of the graphic images here on MDS. Others were distributed in print-form at the [HoCo Parents] warehouse rally. There's no shortage of evidence that this "award winning" material is inappropriate for a high-school library, much less children in general.

I remember the sex ed stuff in school, and it was exceptionally dry and boring, and then the pictures of STDs got our attention right back.

I don't know how effective comics are (I'd LOVE to see some research on the effectiveness, if it exists), but (like most things) it sure does stink like some school administrator had a friend or family member who drew porn comics in his spare time, and they figured out a way to use education funds to line their pockets.

This is crystal clear to me and there is no way it is a coincidence. It is not unlike when a proposed tax increase/new tax is "for the children" (or in MD "saves The Chesapeake") Anyone who challenges it will be lambasted for hating children and the bay.

Seems his contract with the County was not renewed by the school board. His exit was not voluntary, however ...

Carroll County Public Schools Superintendent Steven Lockard became the fifth [Maryland] school leader to announce he's stepping down in 2022.

He is joined by superintendents from Talbot, Calvert, Wicomico and Montgomery counties.

Dan Domenech, executive director of the national School Superintendents Association said there are plenty of reasons why leaders are stepping away, most of them related to the pandemic.

True believing leftists within our institutions are awesome about using language to their benefit by playing semantic games. They make words mean other things in order to force their foot into the door with generally accepted superficial terms and then gradually replace the meaning of those now established words with their ideology.

It's like "democracy". Who's against "democracy"? Except when leftists mean "democracy", inherent in that is the belief that true democracy does not exist so long as any power differential exists. If someone has money or some other form of power that allows them to have more influence in a democracy than someone else, then to them democracy doesn't exist. The only way true democracy can exist is therefor for them to usher in the communist utopia where everyone is equal...somehow. So when leftists say "democracy"(like the group "democracy now!" for instance), they actually mean "communism".

The more you dive in to this, the more things become VERY clear and the more it becomes obvious that we are losing....badly. It is very important for everyone on our side to start reading up on hegel, the young hegelians, marx, marcuse, angela davis, kimberle crenshaw, derrick bell, richard delgado, gloria ladson-billings, paulo freire, henry giroux, gyorgy lukacs, lyotard, derrida, foucault, gramsci...etc. If we don't know their playbook and language, we're not going to be able to recognize and fight it.

This is because there has been a very successful effort to seize control of local school boards. Now that they are nearly fully under the control of radicalized leftists, these leftists are forcing out leadership to install their true believers. Look for offices of diversity, equity, and inclusion to explode in size and influence as this takeover accelerates. This is the great reset at the local level.
