Yeah... the PTR32 is built on a bastardized PTR91 receiver. I've never seen a real Hk32 so who knows if it used the same Hk G3/91 receiver or if it had different tooling.

There are so many good AK variants out there I'm not sure why anyone would want a PTR32.

However it is still built on ex-Portuguese licensed H&K machinery. It might not have the H&K badge and equal quality but still built on the same equipment.

I think PTR does decent job on their guns; the welds pretty decent and the Thompson barrels are more accurate than the original mil-spec Hk barrels.

    Teutonic Goodness...

    Back in MD sadly

For people who just can't stand the AK (terrorist/bad guy gun), don't like the ergonomics, can't shoot well with it or not accurate enough :sad20:, love H&K's plus cheap ammo, and/or want something different.

Not saying they are bad but have ran into QC issues particularly with their PTR-32 as well as their first batch of GI rifles (Mine is in the first batch as well but had proper pins installed in trunnion, over 500 rounds no cracks of any kind). Again being a new gun it will have issues.
