Most of the stuff talked about in this thread about makes me want to :puke:

I think about as wild as I'll ever go for a stock on my 10/22 is a laminate wood thumbhole stock. I'm just not that into tactical or "tacti-cool" stuff, and much prefer walnut if possible. My 10/22 is the Deluxe model with the checkered walnut stock, and I don't see a need to change it yet. I'll have to if I put on a heavier barrel, but for now I'm happy with it.

I no longer own a 10/22, so seeing Mdeng's 10/22 got me thinking since it kind of resembles one of my milsurp rifles. Apparently, it weighs the same, too.

What barrel did you use for this? It appears to be a heavy, fluted barrel with an integrated muzzle brake?

IIRC, it was a JP Enterprises super match cryo-treated barrel - back before JP stopped making 10/22 barrels.

Only 9? That bastard feels like it's heavier when you do the standing off-hand stage. Although I probably am weaker since I've been on disabled for the past 9 months.

I think it's a great conversation starter and just something cool to do. Not thinking about doing it to be "tacti-cool" or anything else. Just think it's great that a single rifle can be so versatile and that so many company use it to think outside the box.

Absolutely! Tacti-cool is only one way to go with the 10/22, and there are a lot of really nice wood stock options that are more "traditional" available too.

I've thought about doing a pimp-job on mine, but lately any extra money I have seems to be spent on non-firearms related things. :sad20:

Does it feel cheap or is it solid feeling and sturdy?

I can tell its plastic, but it seems like quality stuff.

Id be willing to let you check it out if you were in the area.

Mdeng has a shooter there! But it goes back to what your plans are. I figured this is as close to a PS90 as I will be getting any time soon so I went for it.

I also have one in a Houge stock.
