High standard sport king

Was filling out the paperwork on my 22/45 this morning, and this just kept staring at me.

150, but missing the rod for the tube and the rear sight.

Ideas? Negotiate, move on, jump on it?

Anyone have one?

The High Standard is an Old School Classic. I shot one in college, and it was amazing. The Ruger was a huge letdown when I shot one later.

Save it if you can. Perhaps Numrich has parts.

Ah. That's what you meant about the tube.

Anyone who made such a great pistol must have made a fine rifle, too. And they sure don't make them that Old School Way anymore, with all that steel machined to close tolerances.

Go for it! And keep an eye out for the pistol, too.

Why not make an offer, the worst they can do is say no. Then it is up to you. I would locate a source for the missing parts beforehand though.

Holy sh!t - I have one of these rifles...it was my first .22 / rifle. Mine fails to eject a lot - probably needs new springs. I want to fix her up when I have more $$.
